Mellow Reads and Catchy Visuals
Relax. Restore. Rejuvenate. This is the first message visitors see on Avalon’s website. We thought it was perfect since it matches the feel that the spa presents in-person. Genesis is one of our many talented writers and shared what the process of developing new content for this client was like. “I knew going into this that I had to know each of Avalon’s products and services to the fullest. Avalon’s brand appears soft and relaxing with a unique choice of color tones. Jaime, one of our web designers with an eye for even the smallest of details, shared his experience in working on the project. “Matching the baby blue and soft pink tones in the brand and design was admittedly a challenge. I wanted to bring something high-class and prestigious to the table. The main objective was to help Avalon sell services and products, so I made the design as simple and clean as possible to give more focus to the pictures to push what they offer.”
The end result is very user-friendly and clean. We know that it will help the client navigate through the website without any hiccups. Another neat feature added to the homepage was a social media slideshow featuring their social platforms.

Our lead web developer, Cesar, knew what the site upgrade needed. “Avalon’s original website was built on the Magento 1 e-commerce platform. We decided to upgrade it to Magento 2, which is more forward-thinking and up-to-date with the latest web technologies. This project involved a bit of a learning curve for the team, but the payoff for building it using Magento 2 was well worth it. Magento 2 has, from initial setup, many beneficial e-commerce, SEO and development features, such as integrated payment gateways, SEO modification tools for products and increased page caching so that the website loads quickly.”
